According to Piper Jaffray research company, the reason of the delay is caused by some delivery problems of a Qualcomm chipset that will be integrated in the iPhone 5 smartphone.

Precisely, we are talking about the modem chipset developed using a new technology ( 28 nm ), a chipset that will be used to connect to the Internet on LTE networks.

The market demand for this chipset is extremely high and Qualcomm has to spend a lot of money to speed up the manufacturing process.

According to Qualcomm’s chief financial officer, Bill Keitel, Qualcomm is spending tens of millions of dollars.
