British journalists revealed the existence of a love story that took place 100 years ago on the Titanic, a story similar to the story presented in the “Titanic” movie directed by James Cameron, similar because the protagonists of this love story were people from different social classes.
A documentary presented by the History Channel tells the story of Emilio Portaluppi, a passenger of the Titanic who was staying in the lower section of the ship, and Madeleine Talmage Astor, the wife of a U.S. millionaire.
Emilio Portaluppi, who died at the age of 93 in 1974, was always a gentleman and he always refused to tell the story about the alleged love affair with Madeleine Talmage, after they both survived the sinking of the Titanic.
The story of this man is very similar to the story of character Jack Dawson from the “Titanic”.
Just like Dawson, Portaluppi was a passenger of the Titanic because of dumb luck and he was often invited by the rich passengers of the Titanic to join them on the upper deck of the ship.
