The Kardashians are still getting the money despite their disgraceful antics. The shock value that they have garnered over the past few months is set to take them right up to 2015 and even beyond if they can negotiate an extension. This is not withstanding the fact that Kim Kardashian has recently mocked the institution of marriage in a big way. The head of the family Kris Jenner is also not immune to the occasional gaffe but he knows about business when it comes to his affairs. There will be three more seasons of ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ as well as the peripheral reality programs that they invariably get involved in.

Milking the 15 minutes of fame

We can safely say that this family is way past the 15 minutes of fame that are allocated to everyone in the world. The public is going to be assailed with the private life of Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and any other hangers-on that they can recruit. At the moment they have a veritable army in the guise of Kris, Kendall, Bruce and Kylie. If this bunch can earn $40 million over three years for doing nothing then capitalism is still alive and well. The spinoff machine is going into overdrive with ‘Khloe & Lamar’ and ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York’.

Meanwhile the signature series reported that it averaged more than 3 million total viewers in the 6^th series. That is a generation that is all but lost to Western Civilization. Given the rumors that are making the rounds in various celebrity magazines, we would not be surprised if Kanye West did not begin to feature in the reality programs. The Kardashians are known for taking anything they can get.
