The U.S. Pentagon created a new intelligence service so it can better focus on human information and refocus espionage priorities.
The new “Defense Clandestine Service“, will work under the DIA. The Defense Secretary Leon Panetta signed off on the new DCS service last week. Leon Panetta was previously the director of the Central Intelligence Agency ( CIA ).
The new service is designed to better integrate information and to better work with the other 16 U.S. intelligence services. The new service will focus on reorganizing intelligence priorities after 10 years of war.
According to the New York Times, a classified report form last year said that the DIA, is going to concentrate it’s attention on other matters of national interest.
