Gavin Kim, the director of the Windows Phone marketing division resigned today after approximately 5 months on the job.

Microsoft confirmed Kim’s decision through an official press statement, and they also mentioned something about the work Gavin Kim made.

Besides successfully promoting the Lumia family of smartphones, he also worked on the “Smoked by Windows Phone” campaign, in which skeptic users can test the speed of a Windows Phone smartphone compared to other rival smartphones: Android, iOS, Symbian or Blackberry OS.

In the past, Gavin Kim also worked in the marketing department of South Korea giant Samsung.

The Windows Phone Marketing Manager position will be occupied by Eugene Ho, who was General Software Manager at Microsoft until now.
