Sapphire Technology announced a new video card developed to support the newest family of Intel processors.
Sapphire Pure Platinum Z77/K is a full ATX video card that supports the new family of i7/i5/i3 processors using a LGA 1155 socket.
The new Sapphire video card includes the full integration of chipset features, including multiple PCI-Express 3.0 Gen 3 support, USB 3.0, SATA 6G and extended I/O support.
Four dual channel sockets are available that can support up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory with the current technology ( maximum 32 GB when the right modules will be available ).
The video card holds four SATA 2 3 Gb/s ports and two SATA 3 6 GB/s ports with support for AHCI and RAID, mounted on the sideline of the board. Advanced connectivity is offered by a Reaktek Gigabit LAN and a second LAN Killer E2200 Gigabit, which is optional.
There are four USB 3.0 ports ( two on the back and two on a header on the front ) as well as ten USB 2.0 ports.
The back panel also includes SPDIF as well as standard I/O configuration for onboard HD 7.1 audio. On-chip Intel HD graphic outputs are DVI, HDMI and VGA.
The new Pure Platinum Z77/K video card from Sapphire also includes four PCI-Express Gen 3.0 X16 slots that allows you to use up to four video cards in CrossFireX, and two PCI-Express slots.
A standard 4-pin Molex connector can be used to provide additional power then you are using multiple video cards.
