Nvidia is already working on the new Tegra generation. Nvidia Tegra 4 will be a even faster quad core and will debut on tablets in the first months of 2013.

While Nvidia Tegra 3 is based on four ARM Cortex A9 chips, Nvidia Tegra 4 – Plus 1 – will use five Cortex A15 chips to provide a even more advanced quad core with a fifth core to protect the battery.

The Nvidia roadmap, confirmed by the CEO of Nvidia, Jen-Hsun Huang, targets a 10 inch tablet at the beginning of next year and another three Nvidia Tegra 4 versions will debut in the third trimester of next year with speeds between 1.2 GHZ and 1.8 GHZ.
