Indian actress Meenakshi Thapar, who starred in the “404″ horror movie, was kidnapped by two fellow actors who then killed her on the set where she worked on her last movie.
Actors Amit Jaiswal and Preeti Surin – who were also involved in a romantic relationship with each other – kidnapped Meenakshi Thapar after they heard her talk about her family’s fortune and social status.
The India media reports that the two actors invited Thapar in a trip to Gorakhpur, a city close to the Nepal border. They kidnapped Thapar and asked her family to pay a ransom of 1,500,000 rupees (around $28,000 ). The police said that Jaiswal and Surin threatened the actress’ mother, saying that if she doesn’t pay the ransom they will force her daughter to play in porn movies.
Thapar’s mother paid 60,000 rupees ( 1.151 dollars ) however Thapar was eventually killed.
The actress was strangled, beheaded and parts of her body were thrown in areas close to Mumbai. Her chest was discovered in a water tank, and her head, wrapped in a plastic bag, was thrown on the road.
Jaiswai and Surin confessed to the murder, after the Police arrested them nd they found Thapar’s SIM card in their possession.
