Alison Carey Scott, the sister of singer Mariah Carey, sentenced in the past for practicing prostitution, was diagnosed with liver cancer.

Alison Carey Scott’s health condition got worse over the last few years after she learned that she is HIV positive.

A National Enquirer reporter met with Alison Carey Scott, 50 years old, recent, and she confirmed that she is very sick: ” I don’t have AIDS, but I have liver cancer”.

The media reports that singer Mariah Carey, who is currently in France, is not aware of her sister’s serious health condition.

” Mariah went through hell because of Nick’s recent health problem. Alison’s tragedy will affect her even more” a source said.

Nick Cannon was hospitalized on Christmas because of renal failure and at the beginning of this year he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease similar to Lupus.

Although Mariah Carey is not close to Alison Carey Scott, the singer helped Alison in the past to get over her drug addiction by paying for her treatment in a rehab center.

Mariah Carey was born in New York on March 27, 1970. When Mariah was three years old her parents got divorced  because of countless problems in their family life but also because the pressure society put on interracial couples at that time. Alison, Mariah’s oldest sister, moved in with their father and Mariah and her brother, Morgan, stayed with their mother, Patricia.
