During the Captivate 2012 event which took place in Rome, Capcom announced Lost Planet 3, the third title of the third person shooter franchise.

The action of the game will return on the  frozen E.D.N. III planet and players will be able to play Jim, a utility mech pilot who accepts a dangerous contract.

Lost Planet 3 is developed by Spark Unlimited ( the same studio behind games like Legendary or Turning Point: Fall of Liberty ), and it will be released in 2013 for Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3.
