Marvel superhero, Iron Man, is getting ready to return on the big screen alongside other names from the Marvel universe in The Avengers, and will continue to fight against his enemies in Iron Man 3, who’s production will start next month.

In a recent interview, Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel, said that a reboot of the franchise is less likely but, in his opinion, they can continue even without Robert Downey Jr in the main role because Iron Man won it’s place in the hearts from all over the world, just like the James Bond franchise.

” I think Bond is a good example. I hope Downey will be with us for many movies as Stark, however if this doesn’t happen I Will be here to continue these movies” Feige said.

If the Iron Man franchise will continue without Robert Downey Jr in the cast well that’s for Robert to decide because he is involved in a lot of projects. However if Downey does decide not to continue it would be interesting to see how Iron Man will apply the James Bond winning recipe.
