On the official website of the game, THQ and Vigil Games announced that Darksiders II game was delayed. Although the release of the game should have taken place at the end of June, Vigil games announced that they need more time to work on Death’s adventure.

So, the Darksiders 2 game was delayed until August of this year.

It seems that this was the only reason why the Darksiders 2 game was released, THQ denying the rumors that the recent layoffs influenced the development process of Darksiders II game. Also, the game was not delayed in order to be released simultaneously with the Nintendo Wii U gaming console.

In Darksiders II, the main hero of the game will be Death, another horseman of the Apocalypse, and the events are going to take place in parallel with the events from the first title of the franchise. While War is tricked to trigger the Apocalypse on earth, Death will find to prove that his brother is innocent.

The DarkSiders II game will be released in August 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
