The Flashback infection, which affected more than 600,000 Mac computers, might be neutralized very soon. Apple is currently working on creating a solution to remove the Flashback virus from infected computers.
Apple advises users who think they are infected with Flashback to wait for the official Apple fix and not to use third party solutions.
Apple was criticized because they reacted slowly after the Flashback infection news broke out, a virus that uses a vulnerability of the Java platform. Mac users can only install Java directly from the Apple servers.
Oracle, the company behind Java fixed the vulnerability ever since February 2012, but Apple failed to provide a proper update for Mac users until now.
