The Indonesia earthquake was followed by a powerful earthquake in Mexico.

A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale hit the west of Mexico, according to the USGS.

The epicenter of the earthquake that hit Mexico was located at 336 km west north west from Acapulco and at 51 Km from La Mira, USGS says.

The earthquake was also felt in the center of Mexico. No victims of material damages were recorded.

On April 2, a 6,3 magnitude earthquake hit the south west of the country, close to the region already affected by a 7,6 magnitude earthquake that killed two people on March 20, 2012.
