Facebook announced that they are to improve the photo viewing system: photo will be loaded in HD and users can use a full screen gallery to view the photos they upload on Facebook.

The new Facebook system offers photos in HD, with a significant increase in resolution. On bigger screens, photos can be seen at sizes of up to four times bigger.

HD photos at can viewed at a maximum format of 2048 x 2048 on Facebook.

Facebook allows users to upload high resolution photos ever since 2010 but big photos were viewed in small versions.

The HD Facebook Photo Gallery is only available right now to Firefox and Chrome users and they can activate it by clicking the “double” arrow in the upper right corner of the photo.
