The moment when RockStar Games revealed that the action of the next Max Payne 3 game will take place in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Max Payne fans were displeased, thinking that the new gaming environment does not fit the “noir” current, as the first two Max Payne games.

Also, the Max Payne community right from the start had something against the new look of Max Payne, who is fat, with a beard and bald. It seems that Rockstar listened to what the fans had to say and confirmed that part of the new Max Payne 3 game will take place in New York and in these moments of the game Max will look like he did in the previous games of the franchise.

The announcement was accompanied by four new Max Payne 3 screenshots, which you can view below.

Also, Rockstar confirmed the presence of New York locations in the multiplayer module of the game as well.

The Max Payne 3 game will be released in May, 2012, for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and the PC version of the game is expected to arrive on June 1, 2012.
