Just a few days after the release of the iOS 5.1 OS, along with the release of the new iPad,  Apple decided to offer the iOS upgrade to users who are using older iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch versions.

The iOS 5.1 upgrade is now available for iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch ( third generation ) and iPod Touch ( forth generation ) and comes with a few important improvements.

The improvements made on the iOS 5.1 OS from Apple are about improving the battery autonomy, the option of accessing the photo camera directly from the LockScreen, the improvement of the “Face Detection” feature for the photo camera, a new interface for iPad podcasts and a audio quality improvement for video content on Apple tablets.

When accepted, the automated Appel upgrade deletes the jailbreak solution released a few days ago for iOS 5.1 installed on devices without a A5X processor.
