LogMeIn company is specialized in remote assistance services, through a internet connection. On a device you have to install a special application that gives LogMeIn access to all the features of the device.

HTC just announced a partnership with this company, and remote assistance will be provided to HTC One clients. These smartphones will come with a pre-installed application that can be accessed remotely.

But don’t be scared! The people over at LogMeIn will not take full control of your smartphone if you don’t allow it. This application can only be activated by the user and remote assistance also requires a call to a LogMeIn call center.

What problems can be fixed this way? HTC talks about the cases in which an application you install does not behave properly or cannot be uninstalled, if your phone does not respond to specific commands or when the user can’t activate a feature of the smartphone.

HTC One X, One S and One V smartphones will be unable to receive the LogMeIn application if your mobile operator does not accept.
