An earthquake with a magnitude of 6,1 on the Richter scale hit Australia on Saturday, this being the most powerful earthquake to hit the country in the last 15 years.

According to The West Australian, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the desert, close to Ernbella, at a depth of only 3 km.

This is the most powerful earthquake to hit Australia in the last 15 years, after the 1997 6,7 magnitude earthquake.

Happily, there were no victims or material damages.
