The rumors about a mini iPad tablet returned, confirmed by multiple sources. Apple is going to release two tablets this year: iPad 3 and a 7,85 inch iPad in the third trimester of the year.
With the release of the iPad 3 on March 7, the price of the iPad 2 tablet will drop under 400 dollars, and the new tablet might be release at a price of only 300 dollars.
The first rumors about a mini iPad first appeared in October 2011, after the success of the 7 inch Kindle Fire tablet. Because Apple cares about their reputation as an innovator, it seems that they are going to release a 7,85 inch mini iPad tablet.
Speculations say that the new mini iPad will have the same touchscreen resolution as the iPad 2 tablet: 1024 x 768 pixels.
Steve Jobs was against a mini iPad tablet, but Apple decided to continue Jobs’ vision with some changes.
