In this article we are going to talk about three famous haunted houses and their stories!

1. The Whaley House

The Whaley House is located in San Diego and it was built for executing James Robinson, also known as Yankee Jim. In 1852, Yankee Jim was sentenced to death, but things did not go by the book during Robinson’s hanging.

In 1856, the new owner of the house where Yankee Jim was executed started to hear noises, noises made by feet hitting the floor, noises believed to be caused by the ghost of Robinson. Since then, everybody who lived in the Whaley house said the same thing.

2. Belmez

In south of Jaen Spanish province there is a house that is built over an old cemetery, dating back to 1830.  The floor the kitchen of the house revealed a lot of mysteries. Maria Gomez Pereira, one of the persons who lived in the house, said that she noticed a figure coming out of the floor, looking like a statue.

None of the scientists that were called on the scene were able to explain this, but they associated it with the presence of the cemetery under the house.

3. Blicking Hall

In October, 2007, National Trust of England designated Blicking Hall as the most haunted house in the U.K. Located in Norfolk, England, Blicking hall has a new guest every spring, according to the locals.

After a more detailed study, it was discovered that this was the residence of Anne Boleyn, a woman that had many lovers, including slaves that she later killed to hide the facts. The house is allegedly haunted by Anne’s ghosts but also by the ghosts of the men she killed.
