A terrorist with strong connections in the United Kingdom, according to Daily Mail, was arrested for trying to kill the Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin.
A video leaked in the media shows us the man half naked, wounded and covered in blood. Adam Osmayev was arrested by the special forces in Odessa.
On his knees with the head bent, the man allegedly said: ” Our purpose was to go to Moscow and try to kill Vladimir Putin”.
It is believed that Osmayev lived for many years in London, UK. If this is true it might inflame Kremlin’s worry that the United Kingdom is heaven for Islam terrorists from Chechnya.
Furthermore, the Russian secret services claim that Osmayev graduated from a prestigious university in the United Kingdom and that he comes from a wealthy family in Chechnya.
The news about the plot to kill Vladimir Putin come in the last week before the Presidential elections, which will take place this Sunday. Vladimir Putin is a favorite to win the race, despite many street protests against his regime.
