Heroin addicts might get a second chance. The anti-heroin addiction vaccine will be released on the market in five years.
Researchers conducted tests on heroin addicted mice and the vaccine will be tested on humans too, and it has high chances to be effective.
“The testing process of the vaccine will take at least five years. Furthermore, we are not taking about just heroin addiction. We are surely going to apply methods for cocaine or meth addiction” Salomon Chertorivski said, representative of the Mexico Health Ministry, where the vaccine was discovered.
How does the vaccine work ? Right after it is injected patients are no going to feel the same sensation of pleasure when using heroin, like they did before.
