The SkyDrive service from Microsoft will be fully integrated in Windows 8 with the help of a Metro UI application that will make it easier for us to access cloud services.
Windows 8 Consumer Preview, awaited at the end of the month, will come with SkyDrive Metro, a application that will be fully integrated in Windows 8 OS.
Until now the SkyDrive service was only available through the web browser however Microsoft finalized the application that allows it to be integrated in Windows. The files will be able to be downloaded by users from any computer using SkyDrive.com.
The SkyDrive Metro application is the result of the cloud service integration with Windows Live Mesh sync and it might be a powerful competitor for Dropbox and iCloud from Apple.
