Currently in Berlin to promote the latest movie he directed, the “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” drama, Billy Bob Thornton revealed some things about the script and release date of the “Bad Santa 2″ movie.
Receiving good reviews as well as a Golden Globes nomination in 2003, Bad Santa did very good at the box office and attracted a lot of viewers in movie theaters. The movie’s budget at that time was only 18 million dollars.
The “Bad Santa 2″ movie received a green light ever since last year when Billy Bob Thornton confirmed that he will play Willie again, the con artist disguised as Santa. The Bad Santa 2 movie has two script versions to choose from, written by Johnny Rosenthal and John Phillips respectively. Although it was not mentioned which of the two versions was chosen, Thornton mentioned that the story is almost finished and that they will start working on the movie this fall.
The Bad Santa 2 movie will be released sometime in 20113.
