Israel is behind the attack against Iranian researcher Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, killed by the explosion of a bomb, Iran Vice Governor says. The bombing happened in a moment of maximum tension between Iran and the West.
There is a lot of tension and anger in Iran after the attack that killed a researcher involved in Iran’s nuclear program. Iran accused Israel of being behind the attack that happened on Wednesday and behind the death of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, killed by the explosion of a bomb.
“Israel is responsible with this attack, the method is similar to the one used in other attacks against Iranian scientists” Safar-Ali Baratloo said.
The scientist was killed in a bombing that happened north of Teheran. The magnetic bomb was placed by a unknown biker under the car of the scientists and it also injured two other people.
This attack comes two years after the death of another Iranian scientist. The media reported many times that Iranian scientists involved in the nuclear program are targeted by Israel’s secret services.
War Games
This bombing happened as tensions between the West and Iran are very high. In the last few weeks, Iran’s relationship with the international community was complicated by Iran’s military exercises and by Iran’s threats of shutting down the Hormuz strait, one of the main oil routes in the world.
The United States responded swiftly saying that they will react with military forces if the Hormuz strait will be closed.
The analysts contacted by BBC have mixed opinions regarding a possible military confrontation. While some claim that Iran has the ability of controlling the hostilities on the short term, others are saying that Iran will be taken out of the game fast.
However all analysts agree that if the Hormuz strait will be shut down this would cause a major oil crisis all over the world.
