Samsung presents a improved version of the popular i9000 Galaxy S smartphone.
Samsung GT-I9070 Galaxy S Advance welcomes us with a refreshed design that includes a curved screen for a more natural use of the touch interface and a 3.5 mm jack connector. The piece of resistance is however the dual core 1 GHZ processor that raises the performances of the Galaxy S Advance and makes the smartphone more competitive for 2012.
For the first time included on the Galaxy S family, the dual core processor opens new options for the Android OS, with has perspective of being updated to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version.
The other technical specifications are approximately the same as the original I9000 Galaxy S: the 4 inch screen uses the same Super AMOLED technology at a 480 x 800 pixels resolution and on the back we can find the same 5 MP photo camera that can record videos at 720p.
The Li-Ion battery has the same 1500 mAh capacity, so we can expect a reduced autonomy of the new Galaxy S Advance, as the dual core processor needs plenty.
The Samsung GT-I9070 Galaxy S Advance smartphone might be presented next month during the Mobile World Congress Event.
