Nvidia presented new things about the Tegra 3 technology at CES 2012: Prism Display and DirectTouch.

The Prism Display technology makes the power requirements of the screen more efficient by analyzing the need of illumination frame by frame. The result is a better image, which eats up less of the battery resources.

DirectTouch removes the need of a touchscreen control module from another company. Using the fifth core, the technology offers a better touch experience. Tablets and smartphones will have a screen that provides a better touch response time.

Both technologies were implemented in the Asus Transformer Prime tablet, which debuted at CES 2012.
