The process of creating a Google account got complicated and Google now asks more information from users.

Until recently you were able to create a Google account by using a email account or by using a Gmail account. The registration form now has mandatory name and gender fields, both used to create a profile on the Google+ social network.

However new Google users have a temporary solution to avoid creating a Gmail and Google+ account. These steps can be avoided only by users who create Google accounts through Google Calendar or Blogger.
