Sources from within Apple suppliers are saying that the next iPad to be released by Apple will be named iPad 2S.
On the websites of some Chinese manufacturers we can now see cases compatible with a thicker iPad. This is what caused speculations about the internal components. The thickness of the tablet might mean that Apple decided to use a bigger battery.
This might also mean that the iPad 2S will come with a 2048 x 1526 resolution, LTE model and quad core processor, and they all need a bigger battery to be able to provide the same autonomy as the iPad 2. The future iPad 2S might be released in February or March. And it seems that we might get to see the iPad 3 only by the end of the year.
