The changes made by Google hits Twitter directly. Google’s decision to include Google+ pages in search results was characterized as a “bad day for the Internet”.
Twitter reps crticized the changes implemented by Google of including Google+ relevant pages in search results.
Twitter claims that relevant results of a search are thus lost through Google+ information, and this can have a negative impact on users.
Twitter also claims that relevant results from Twitter.com will start to lose SERP positions on Google search engine.
Google’s reply was about technical difficulty of introducing relevant pages in search results. Twitter banned Google from accessing the site’s content ever since last summer. Also, the other Google rival, Facebook, does not plan to give Google access to content.
