  • Sharebar

Fujitsu presented a concept laptop, capable of unite in a single device four accessories useful on any trip: a 17 inch laptop to work on, a tablet we can carry with us when we need portability, a smartphone and a photo camera with retractable objective.

Fujitsu LIFEBOOK2013 hides all these gadgets in the body of the case:

- the tablet is installed instead of the physical keyboard, to offer the functionality of a touch keyboard.

- the smartphone fits in a docking port under the restpad and it is used for internet access through a 3G connection

- the photo camera fits in a place behind the screen

The concept presented by Fujitsu is somewhat similar to the Asus PadFone, a tablet that hides a smartphone too! The difference is the the Asus tablet is only functional after the smartphone component has been introduced in the internal docking system, while each accessory of the LIFEBOOK2013 can function separately or synchronized with the main laptop.

Without a doubt all these accessories delivered in full configuration will cost more than the alternative of a regular laptop. Connecting all these devices in the case of a laptop we can enjoy more flexibility: the screen of the tablet can be used for typing, and the mobile phone can play the role of a 3G modem.

Unfortunately Fujitsu has not mentioned when and if they are going to release this design on the market as right now this all-in-one device is just a concept.
