Two people from the U.K were detained on a Los Angeles airport for hours and were denied entry in the United States.
Happy that he was going to visit Hollywood, British Leigh Van Bryan, 26 years old, told his friends on Twitter that he wants to spend time with them before going to America to destroy it. He forgot about the message as soon as he wrote it however he remembered it as soon as he landed in Los Angeles along with his girlfriend.
They were “welcomed” by Homeland Security who seized their passports and arrested them under the suspicion that they came to the U.S. to commit felonies. Leigh Van Bryan tried to explain that he referred to parties, not to terrorist attacks, however it was useless.
Also, U.S. authorities wanted to talk to him about another one of his Tweets, a quote from Family Guy in which he talked about Hollywood Boulevard and Marilyn Monroe.
The two were interrogated for five hours after which they were handcuffed and they spent the night in jail. The second day they were put on a plane to Paris. They were told that they can’t enter the United Stats because of the two messages Leigh Van Bryan posted on Twitter.
This only goes to show that Uncle Sam is monitoring everything. So guys, please be careful what you write about on Twitter, you don’t know who’s watching and you might be surprised.
