Microsoft Might Charge You If You Use Skype For Business

Microsoft might charge money for business clients of the Skype service.

How does Microsoft plan on recovering the investment they made when they purchased Skype in May of this year for 8,5 billion dollars ? This is a question that has been asked ever since the transaction was announced.

From May and until now, many Microsoft executives made a series of proposals. But it seems that the only option for Microsoft of making money with Skype is to charge  business users.

We have to mention the fact that the payment Microsoft will ask for does not apply to individual users, as they are still going to receive free Skype services, which is a anticipated move from Microsoft, and a very good one we might add.

Most likely Skype will be integrated in the Lync communication system from Microsoft and will become available when Windows 8 will be released. However, Microsoft has not confirmed this yet.
