Microsoft will release, by the middle of 2013, the first notebooks with ARM processors, running on the Windows 8 OS according to a report published by Digitaltimes and quoted by WinRumors.

DigiTimes also says that Nvidia and Qualcomm focused lately on making ARM processors more efficient and they were optimized so they can be used on notebooks.

Even if there were more talk about the Windows 8 OS than PC tablets and other devices, the Windows 8 will work on almost all types of devices.

Most likely, the Windows 8 final version will be released by the end of next year and it will be distributed to developers so they can have time to create some of the additional software to be compatible with the Metro interface of the new operating system.
