It has been one year since the North Korea attack on a South Korea island and Seoul officials promise to respond harshly to any threat.
South Korea prime minister Kim Hwank Sik promised today to respond harshly to military threats made by North Korea, one year after North Korea attacked the South Korea island.
“Our Government will be relentless in preventing any act that threatens the security of our people and the security of this country” Kim said.
South Korea will mobilize all means possible to prevent North Korea threats, Kim also said and he also asked the North to cooperate to maintain the peace and prosperity of the South and North Korea.
Two civilians and two marines were killed when the Yeonpyeong island was bombed, close to the sea border disputed by South and North Korea.
The South Korean army responded with gunshots and they had the highest alert level during peacetime.
