Hitachi Displays and Sony Mobile Display Corporation have started to deliver displays dedicated to the new iPhone and iPad models, according to MacRumors.
It seems that the iPhone 5 will really have a 4 inch screen ( compared to the 3,5 inch screen of the iPhone 4 ) if we were to believe the rumor.
According to some Japan sources, Hitachi and Sony are going to deliver screens for the iPhone 5 smartphone and iPad 3 tablet. These two companies will combine their efforts with Toshiba Mobile Display Co, and Japan Display company will be the result of the merger.
On the other hand, Wall Street Journal says that Sharp is the company who supplies Apple with screens and that the iPad display, for example, will be based on the Retina Display technology.
For the moment, as we said at the beginning, these are just rumors. What is sure is that Apple will present, in the spring, the iPad 3 or the iPhone 5, it remains to be seen which one.
