No matter how beautiful and clean is the native interface of the iOS operating system, anyone gets bored of it sometime. And as boredom asks fora change, it means that you must use different themes to install on your iPhone or iPOd touch. But, as most themes cost money, even those from Cydia, today we are going to present you with a few good solutions that you can consider to change the graphic interface of your Apple device.
Right from the start you should know that the themes presented here are only valid Apple devices ( including iOS 5 ) which are jailbreaked.
A few Steps To Follow
Before starting, make sure that you have installed the Dreamboard on your iPhone and if you don’t have it, go to Cydia and download it. Then install PC iFunBox, the application that gives you access to the iOS system files, which is as easy to use as the Windows File Explorer.
After you installed iFunBox, open the file manager, connect your Apple device to the computer through USB, then click on Raw File System and find a folder named Dreamboard. Now copy the themes in the Dreamboard folder. After you did this, disconnect the phone or player from the PC. From the phone run Dreamboard and pick one of the themes that appear on the interface.
Windows Phone 7 Theme – Metro UI
The OS7 theme is created very carefully, with the Metro graphics in mind, as well as with the features of the Microsoft OS. With this theme you also get the possibility of using pin and unpin features for apps shortcuts you want to place on the main screen of the iPhone.
Obviously, you shouldn’t expect a identical functionality like on the native Windows device, but we can tell you that the interface looks great on the Retina Display. Unlike other themes, this theme can be found in Cydia.
HTC HD2
HTC HD2 is probably the best theme that copies the HTC made Android interface, the Sense UI.
iSimple
As the name suggests, this is a simple and elegant theme. It doesn’t use icons however it uses horizontal columns – each representing a application. iSimple is a customizable theme. You can download it directly from Cydia and you don’t have to use your PC.
Apple Desk Port v2
Maybe not the most practical theme, but it might give you the impression that you are running Mac on your small iPhone screen. It is a clever theme but not very practical.
SevenOSHD
This is a successful combination between the design of many operating systems and this theme can also be personalized.
