Forbes says that Steve Jobs has a fortune of seven billion dollars. Steve Jobs is ranked #110 in the top United States billionaires and he was the 17th most influential person on the planet.
Most likely, some of his fortune will be inherited by his four children. Lisa Nicole Brennan-Jobs was born on May 17, 1978 and she is a journalist and writer. She is the daughter of Steve Jobs and Chris-Ann Brennan. She was not recognized by Steve Jobs at first, who was 23 years old at the time, and Steve signed a court document saying that he can’t be Lisa’s father because she is sterile and infertile and does not have the physical ability of procreating. But, she recognized Lisa as his daughter later on.
Lisa grew up with her mother in California and in the first two years of her life, during which Jobs denied paternity, they lived on welfare. The Apple Lisa computer, invented in the year Lisa was born, carries her name, although officially Jobs said that the name comes from Local Integrated Software Architecture. Lisa graduated from Harvard University in 2000 and she moved to Europe.
Lisa wrote many essays which can be found on her website, lisabrennanjobs.net and she is published in The Southest Review, The Massachusetts Review, Harvard Crimson, The Harvard Advocate, Spiked, Vogue and The Oprah Magazine.
On March 19, 1991, Steve Jobs marries Laurene Powell. The two are the parents of three children: Reed, Erin and Eve.
Laurene Powell received a MBA from Stanford and she worked for a while at Merrill Lynch’s Asset Management but she also started to get involved in non-profit activities. Laurene and Steve Jobs’ children have not appeared in the media so much, but at one event photographers managed to get a photo of young Reed Jobs.
Although we do not have a good idea about Steve Jobs’ fortune plan ( a plan that makes the family aware of the fortune, taxes that need to be paid and it also contains a will ) it is safe to assume that this plan was very carefully crafted out. Forbes also notes that many articles have been written criticizing Jobs’ lack of charity acts. Now, with his death, we are going to see if some of his fortune will be donated to charity or not.
