Lake Manasarovar is a glacier lake situated approximately 2000 km’s from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. It is located at a altitude of 4,556 meters, being the highest altitude sweet water lake in the world. It has a surface of 320 square km and the highest depth is 90 meters.
Lake Peyto, Canada
Situated in the Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains in Canada, the lake fueled by a glacier can be found at a altitude of 1860 meters. It is known for it’s very blue water, which nobody was able to explain and it is annually visited by dozens of thousands of people who want to photograph the landscape.
Lake Bled, Slovenia
It is considered the most beautiful Lake in Europe. It is 2120 meters long, 1,380 meters wide and it’s maximum depth is 30 meters. People who visited it say that it’s beauty is hard to match and it offers some great landscapes. IT is also famous for it’s exceptional water sports conditions but also because it is very accessible, located at 30 minutes car trip from the Ljubljana Airport.
Lake Colorada, Bolivia
It is found in the South West of Bolivia, at the Chile border, being a red colored lagoon. It is very visited as tourists are attracted with the fact that the water color chances during the day. The color changes is due to some microorganisms that lives in this lake, changing it’s color because of the sun.
Lake Pitch, Trinidad
Situated in the Trinidad island, this lake attracts tourists thanks to the fact that it is very bizarre. It contains asphalt which is sold by the locals for more than 100 years, without the water level to drop, being considered a real nature wonder.
