The Facebook social network , a network that counts almost 800 million active users, installed a great upgrade today: they installed a anti virus program.
The security application developed by Websense checks the Wall and Profile links and warns us if the paeg we want to visit contains malware code.
As a mechanism, the Facebook anti virus is similar to the one implemented by Google, Mozilla or Opera in their browsers – so we are only informed about possible risks but not protected. Those that insist on visiting a website and they do not have any anti virus solution on their computer risk infected their computers.
By implementing this security measure, Facebook took another important step in securing the network. Even so, the problems involving the user’s exposure are still very much disputed.
