According to some sources, the Turkey authorities announced that at least 45 buildings collapsed because of the 7,2 magnitude earthquake, in the south east area of the country.
Turkey authorities said that rescue teams managed to save many people under the ruins in Ercis. In Van, at least 50 people were wounded.
A 7,3 magnitude earthquake hit the east of Turkey, at a depth of 7,2 km according to USGS. At least 7 aftershocks followed in the first hour after the initial earthquake. The aftershocks magnitude varies between 2,6 and 5,8 on the Richter scale.
