When it comes to tough girls on movies, our landmark is Sigourney Weaver. She inspired a lot of force on the big screen, who convinces you no matter how difficult the mission is. Athletic, confident, a very powerful presence. You simply loved her, despite the fact that she was not very beautiful. Ever since the 80′s, the “tough girl that beats up everybody” recipe gained al ot of fans. Angelina Jolie, for example, is now part of a typology: female character in action movies. If she continues to do such roles we can bet that Angelina Jolie can kiss the Oscars goodbye.
Even so, a beautiful woman that kick everybody’s ass on the screen is a recipe for a box office success. Let’s see which actresses are very good “bad girls” in movies.
Zoe Saldana
A very fragile actress, beautiful Zoe Saldana’s father is Dominican and her mother is from Puerto Rico. The Columbiana movie marks her first role in action movies. Zoe did ballet for many years and the Columbiana role will be very physically demanding.From September 9 we shall see if this role as a tough woman fits her well or not. What do you think ?
Angelina Jolie
One of the most beautiful and most promoted women alive has appeared mostly in action movies in the last few years. The public likes to see tough girls that kicks ass so appearances in movies like Changeling or A Might Heart, are sporadic for Angelina Jolie. Even in animation movies Angelina voices some “tough” animals: A Kung Fu tiger in Kung Fu Panda.
Milla Jovovich
Jovovich is the perfect action hero – a bad girl with everyone who deserves it, she kick ass all the time and she is very humanitarian as she always looks to save the defenseless. She is very convincing in action movies.
Michelle Rodriguez
Michelle is one of our favorites because she has a strong presence on screen. Rodriguez does a good job in action movies. She is a real “tough bad girl” in Macete, and her past work shows that she is a girl you don’t want to be messing with. Rodriguez will also star in and direct Citizen Jane.
Scarlett Johansson
We were surprised when Scarlet Johansson received the role of the Black Widow. But she did a good job and we are going to see her in The Avangers next year.
Uma Thurman
The Kill Bill franchise cemented her status as a action hero.
Lucy Liu
Her performance in Charlie’s Angels and Kill Bill are clear examples that make Lucy Liu a action her that handles guns and martial arts perfectly well. We like how she moves in her fighting scenes.
Cameron Diaz
She is funny, you but better not mess with this comedy movies specialist – she knows how to fight and can kill you with a smile on her lips!
Halle Berry
She played a Bond Girl, Catwoman and Storm, roles that confirm Halle Berry as an actress that knows how to fire a gun and use her muscles when she gets mad. We would love to see Halle in more action movies in the future as she is a veritable “bad girl”.
Jessica Biel
She will play Melina in the Total Recall action SF movie. Maybe her previous work in movies like Blade: Trinity provided her with an edge in overcoming the competition for this role, competition like Eva Mendes, Diane Krueger or Kate Bosworth.
