Sigourney Weaver To Return In “Avatar 2″

Actress Sigourney Weaver confirmed that she is to return in the “Avatar” sequel, although her character died in the first “Avatar” movie produced by James Cameron.

“Don’t worry, I will come back” Sigourney told Coming Soon magazine.

Sigourney Weaver played character Grace Augustine, a botanic specialist in the first “Avatar” movie, a movie that managed to gross more than 2,7 billion dollars world wide.

Her character sustained deadly wounds in a epic battle, but the actress said that director James Cameron told her that “nobody really dies in Science fiction movies”.

“James described the first two movies of the series and I must say that they are absolutely wonderful. Now all we have to do is make them” Sigourney Weaver said.

The first “Avatar” movie is the highest grossing movie in the history of movies. Director James Cameron said that he is going to transform the “Avatar” story into a trilogy if the first “Avatar” will gross more than 1 billion dollars.

Although they already started to work on the scripts for Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, a filming date has not been set yet.

Sigourney Weaver is the first Hollywood actress to become a real action movies hero. Her first appearance as Ellen Ripley datesb ack to 1979, with the release of the “Alien” movie.

Sigourney Weaver worked with James Cameron before on the second “Alien” movie, a movie released in 1986 and a movie that received two Oscar awards.
