Catering firms that organized the events were also paid with 600,000 dollars.

The United States Administration is currently dealing with a new scandal. In full economical crisis, between 2007 and 2009, the Justice Department spent a lot of money to organize some conferences. Precisely, 121 million dollars were spent on different meetings and training sessions.

These details are controversial because we are talking about tax payers money in a period in which they had to save a lot. The Justice Department has not denied the results of this audit, but they said that ever since 2009 they tried to be more responsible with their spendings.
