The Skulls and Bones Yale society is one of the most famous organizations. The organization picks new members out of the University students each spring – generally athletes, members of the student body of fraternity presidents. The Illuminati society is considered to be a myth, but the legend dates back to the time of a real society that existed in Germany in 1700. At that time, the members of the group were self proclaimed enlighten thinkers. The media started a campaign against them and the organization was seen a dissidents force that allegedly caused the French Revolution. The group disappeared, but it is still believed that the Illuminati is influencing the political world from the shadows. It is alleged that George Bush, William Churchill and even Barack Obama are members of this group but there is no evidence to support this claim.
Although today it is no longer as powerful, freemasonry remains the most famous “secret” society in the world – so secret that it has around 5 million members. The group was officially founded in 1717 but it dates back to 1300.
Initially, it was created as a fraternity between people with theosophical ideas, some of them being the belief in a higher power. They say that they are morally just, working to serve the community and helping the needy. Despite these appearances, it appears the Freemasons are involved in bizarre occult practices.
