The multiplayer open beta Battlefield 3 version will be released on September 29.
The available map will be situated in Paris, during the Metro operation. Gamers will be able to explore a park, some areas from the Paris suburbs as well as a subway station destroyed after a bombing.
The open beta version will be available for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Most likely servers will remain online until the release of the game which will happen on October 28.
With this announcement the developers also announced the Battlefield system requirements. Unfortunately, it was confirmed that Battlefield 3 will not be able to be played by gamers running the Windows XP operating system.
