Microsoft will release an early Windows 8 version by the end of 2011. The edition is dedicated to those that want to test the operating system.

This information appeared on a Microsoft blog. ” We worked hard to design and build Windows 8, so we want to start an open dialogue with those that are interested in testing the pre-release version in the next few months” Microsoft says.

On the same blog we also learn that Microsoft will reveal a series of new Windows 8 details during the Build Conference, which will take place between 13-16 September, 2011 in Anaheim, California.

  1. Thanks for the info, I can’t wait to try it out! I’m a hard-core Microsoft fan but when I saw a preview of Windows 8 on YouTube I was shocked and disappointed. They’ve made it look like Fisher Price meets Apple. Microsoft seems to be making it more and more difficult for developers and other professionals to use their operating systems. Their focus is completely on media and social trends. They’re shadowing others rather than innovating.

It’s one of the reasons they had such a hard time pushing XP based businesses onto Vista/7 platforms and were forced to sell computers with preinstalled “OS Downgrades” which were basically XP machines with a free Visa/7 upgrade for later.
